Abstract

Some of the world's cities have high humidity and hot climates. In this paper, the fire behavior was investigated in a car park during specific weather conditions. During the simulations, the ambient temperature ranged from 30°C to 60°C, and humidity ranged from 50% to 90%. The temperature and visibility were measured in the parking stairwell. Based on the numerical findings, it was found that the temperature of the staircase rose as the ambient temperature increased during the fire. However, the temperature of the stairwell decreased at a specific point as the relative humidity increased. At a relative humidity of 50% and a temperature of 30°C, the stairwell temperature reached approximately 130°C. However, at the same relative humidity and a temperature of 60°C, the staircase temperature rose to 200°C .According to the results, it was demonstrated that visibility as the ambient temperature rose, and visibility also decreased with higher relative humidity.
